It’s winter and we’re headed towards that magical moment when our axis tilts once again towards the light.
I love this time of year. It’s a time for gathering in to the deepest place in the self, which is no place at all, but an opening into everything.
The world, with all its busy-ness, demands and chaos, can be let go. Even though everything is incomplete.
I’ve been toiling all year to integrate a lifetime’s work, but the task is never finished and keeps reinventing itself, demanding more of me. Tired of striving and trying to get somewhere, I can choose to put my burden down, cease my willful ways and make space to listen.
I’ll choose to switch off the directions of the mind and instead tune in only to the directions of heart and soul.
An archaic fear for survival surfaces. If I let go, what will get me out of bed in the morning? Who will I become?
And yet, I long for this surrender into a deeper knowing. Perhaps I’ll do nothing at all and become fully a human being, moved from within.
I can feel the Earth longing for that moment too – the great hatching of human beings. When we cast off our cocoons and fly into the expanded consciousness of Soul, remembering our interconnectedness with all life.
This moment is holy, sacred, timeless, vibrating with life. Every moment holds this potential to be the doorway to All-That-Is.
All we need to do is take the next step, not as an act of will, but allowing the foot to rise when it is ready.
Very slowly the peace walk begins. One step and then the next. No hurry or urgency, only perfect timing, in harmony with a bigger movement, a bigger calling.
Dare I take the risk of following my heart and soul? Give up my plans, cast aside my story?
I stand before a kind of death, a relinquishing, an act of radical trust, a falling into beauty.
Are We Ready for the Next Stage of Evolution?
“ The process this far has been one of hardship and formation by trial, but these times coming, the riddle moves differently. It becomes a solving that can be done without the construct of painful separation. It can be done in union and the blessing of community and oneness. Within this new frame of reference, all hardship is seen differently. It becomes a form by which you can join with all that is. It becomes a method by which you experience truth.
It forms you no less purposefully, no less meaningfully, but without the same suffering. For suffering is the absence of self and soul. Separation is what causes hardship. The sense of loss and impermanence of self. What humanity knows of living is an experience formed under the umbrella of suffering and separation from what you are, from oneness, from the capacity to love each other.
In this new context of living, the great trials of life are opened to the self for the enjoyment of loving purposefully what you are. For the ability to see your soul and self as it opens and reveals its many convoluted ways of being. You come to terms with what you are, and through this growth and endowment of living you become brighter. When solitude riddles you no more, the blessings of what you are, are encountered in the wholeness of communal understanding, and you are witnessed in your unfolding.”

The New Harmonic
Sometimes, when I walk into my soul,
it’s like walking into a warm spacious room
where everyone I’ve ever loved is having a party
and waiting to welcome me home.
My heart gets very plump
and I don’t need to eat for a week, I’m so full.
This inner space, so filled with love and the riches of lifetimes,
is some kind of Heaven I can only visit
when my heart is in harmony with this fuller vibration.
I’ve had hints and promises all my life
that something better is on its way,
something higher, something more worthy to be called human,
something sacred.
As I see it, the only shot humanity has at redemption,
standing as we are now, in the fire, together,
all eight billion of us, failing dismally
to live together on the planet
in peace, harmony, in love, respect and tolerance.
The only way we stand a chance of redemption
is if those of us who love freedom,
beauty, compassion, trust, creativity
– we all start to hum together.
Humming, as the core of the Earth hums,
as the planets hum,
as the bees and the Buddha hum.
Let’s all get lined up with the same harmonic
and hum for the healing of our world,
for unity, peace and love.
This sanctuary, my heart and soul,
is a space station, and I can only enter here when
I’ve let go of everything that no longer serves life –
everything old, used up, stiff and unbending,
everything mean and broken, half-hearted and unmourned;
all the old stories, secrets, half-truths and convenient delusions
I’ll drop them now
and dance my way through death, an unapologetic hippy
with flowers in my hair, I don’t care,
I’ll leave unrepentant and intact
whole and ready
and head off into the slipstream,
into bliss,
it’s the only way to go….
