If you’re a first time book writer maybe now’s the time to set out on a creative adventure and take your book from seed idea to finished product?
Do You Want to Write A Book? is for first time authors who are ready to write a full length book, or an e-book, for publication. Typically this will be a non-fiction book but the practices may also support a work of fiction, short stories or children’s fiction.
Underlying the content of this course is the understanding that it takes a certain set of attitudes, skills and knowledge to bring a book to completion and publication. Very many people dream of writing a book; some never begin to make their dream a reality; others start and give up along the way, and some take their dream all the way to the finished product.
Will you be one of those with a book you can hold proudly in your hands?
If you follow this course, step by step, from beginning to end, you will:
- Develop a writing practice that will support you for the rest of your life
- Lay the foundations for a successful book writing project
- Complete a draft of the first chapter of your book, or your e-book
- Decide whether you are sufficiently motivated to complete your book and, if you are, commit to it.
“My intention with this programme is to provide you with the necessary guidance, encouragement, tools and practices so that you can develop the essential skills and confidence to ENJOY the writing process. For me, writing books is one of the most fulfilling activities life can offer and I would love to convey to you my own love and passion for writing.
In particular, I hope to pass on to you some of my own joy in the writing process. I have been writing extensively for more than thirty years and writing is one of the most vital aspects of my life. Becoming an author has given my life meaning, purpose, direction, challenge and adventure – it has been a never ending source of inspiration and guidance. Truly, writing has revealed to me who I am and what I’m here for. If I can convey this excitement to you whilst easing your doubts and fears and making the process simple, straightforward and practical, I will be very happy.
It is my hope and intention that this course will inspire you to jump in and start writing. And if you’re already writing to keep jumping in and keep going, until you make it to the finishing line! “

Her insightful weekly teaching sessions seem to speak directly to where I am at in my process and the structure and self-discipline outlined in the writing practices have really helped to focus my energy and my creativity on the task in hand. I am now in the process of writing my first draft – thank you Rose. – Maggie
Since doing a course with you a few years ago I have never missed a day of writing a page before I get up. I meditate and then write and couldn’t do without it. I am working on getting my first book out soon. Thanks for the inspiration. – Sheila
