THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR GRIEVING WELL
This programme is for those of you who are ready to take a deep dive into death, dying, grief and loss and to move forward in your process of transformation
Perhaps you have been on a healing path for a long time, carrying a heavy burden of grief, and you are longing for a safe place to unpack, take a conscious look, sift, sort and release.
Or you are experiencing present grief, for example, following the death of a loved one, a life threatening illness, feeling the reality of ageing or financial and domestic losses.
Through these very challenging times in which we live you may often feel overwhelmed and confused. You’re longing to belong with a group and find a bigger energy to buoy you up. You know unprocessed grief and old conditioning are limiting you and preventing you from feeling fully alive and you can’t make the necessary shifts of consciousness alone.
You would love to find your authentic voice and your unique gifts so that you can feel more fulfilled and make a creative contribution to your community.
Perhaps, now is the time for you to follow your soul.
This course will support you to:
Find the courage to face into grief, loss and the heart of your pain to release unnecessary suffering;
Become active in shaping your healing, even when you are feeling fragmented;
Make friends with all your emotions including the most intense and difficult;
Identify and practice the essential skills for grieving well and co-operate with the transformational power within grief and loss;
Let go of old, limiting beliefs and habits and experiment with new, vibrant life choices.
So that you can:
Deepen your understanding of grief and loss, death and dying as natural aspects of the cycles of human life and as powerful catalysts on your conscious, creative path;
Alleviate the painful isolation and fear that often accompany grief;
Participate in the transformative power of inquiry and Deep Discovery Conversations within a like-hearted group;
Move into a new level of understanding and commitment to life.
The Essential Skills for Grieving Well is not a therapy group but a process of inquiry and deep discovery in which you will be encouraged to explore your unique experience and express your authentic truths.
When you join the Essential Skills for Grieving Well course you will receive:
- Access to the online course which you can keep for life. This will lead you through a guided process of inquiry, reflection, simple practices and deep discovery conversations:
- Stimulus materials: The Sitting with Death and Choosing Life Conversations: Series One, Grieving Well; Series Two, Transforming Loss; Series Three, Death and the Soul Journey.
- Membership of a small group of no more than twelve people who will be your companions on this adventure;
- Twelve x 2 1/2 hour group sessions.
- Clear, compassionate and encouraging facilitation from Rose Diamond, who will draw on her own deep healing journey, listen deeply to you, never judge you and keep you on track;
- Membership of our Sitting with Death and Choosing Life online community so that you can stay in touch and keep growing stronger during and after the course;
- The possibility to move on to the Facilitator Training, become a facilitator of the Foundation Course and join the Choosing Life Team, if this calls to you.
The programme encourages you to develop a personal practice of inquiry; to participate in the group deep discovery conversations and to adopt the practice of sitting with death and choosing life. Our course content and stimulus materials include personal reflections on the grieving process; philosophical understandings of death, loss and grief from a psycho-spiritual, holistic perspective; intimate recorded conversations with diverse healers and practitioners; questions for inquiry and meditations. These simple practices you can use again and again to raise awareness, to know yourself better and develop the essential skills for grieving well. They are intended to support and focus your exploration and discovery as they touch, move and encourage you to connect more fully with your own experience and authentic truth. All of these practices will support your healing, forward movement and creative freedom so that you live with greater ease, joy, courage and compassion.
